July 16, 2019 - marks the first day of the much awaited and first-ever QA meeting for KanePackage Group of Companies.

Attendees from different branches such as KanePackage Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam arrived in the country and greeted warmly, with Filipino hospitality at its best, by the KPGroup Philippines Inc.

The activities commence with a plant visit to KanePackage Philippines Inc. in Calamba, Laguna. Overseas guest were welcomed with a garland of flowers put around their neck and very graceful Filipino folk dance from the KPPI employees.

July 17, 2019 - Visits continue on the following day to Mega Packaging supplier for EPS material and PackageWorld Inc. for corrugated boards. The plant visit covered the raw materials processes up to the finished goods. The tour ends with a visit as well to Superflex Logistic Inc. in Sta. Rosa Laguna where everyone is also welcomed with Filipino folk dance by the employees.

July 18, 2019 - A3 Report: A lean problem solving and reporting process training was held at the new KPG office in Alabang, Muntinlupa City. Foreign affiliates, together with the representatives from KP Laguna, Lima, FPIP, Cebu and Superflex Logistic Inc. attended the said course.

From problem statements to current conditions, from 3x5 whys to action planning, all of these were tackled and explained in details all throughout the training by the SGS Academy Trainer. Attendees collaborated with each other and interact in the generation of the sample A3 report. Groups were formed and each presented their report in front of the crowd.

July 19, 2019 - "Quality from design!! If we can make better design with considering easier process to make prevent rejections and handling, we can reduce more unnecessary rejection." An excerpt from the special video message of our beloved President and CEO, Mr. Yoshikazu Kanesaka prior commencing with the Data presentation by Ms. Geraldine Ishizaki.

Right after, the outstanding best practices were presented still at the KPG office with entries from all affiliates. Panel of judges, which compose of Mr. Akira Katsuno, Mr. Seigo Yagi, Mr. Yuji Kanehira, Ms. Vangie Ortillo and Ms. Geraldine Ishizaki, graded each entry based on the criteria provided. Live streaming was made possible by the efforts of the IT team from KPGroup Philippines headed by Mr. Benjie Nu?ez to ensure that all branches will be able to witness the said event.

Followed shortly is the awarding and recognition for Best in Quality Performance for Customer Complaints Control, In-house Rejection Control, Outstanding Best Practice and Over-all Best Quality Performance. Included as well the 1st and 2nd Runner ups for each award category. Affiliates were very happy to receive their awards, and winners gladly share a short speech for the recognition given.

July 20, 2019 - At last, the long wait is over. Sight-seeing for the famous Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Bagac, Bataan, where original and replica of Spanish-Filipino houses were intricately curated into a world - class historical haven. Attendees were transported back in the old days during the heritage tour as the guide narrates the stories and significant events behind the historical houses.

Though it rained in the morning, it did not stop the QA attendees from exploring the classic architecture and impressive landscape that the resort have to offer. Get inside Hotel De Oriente, the 1st class hotel in the 1890s, hop on the Balsa tour and cruise around the property through the calm water, or travel by land while riding the Kalesa, are just some of the activities experienced by the attendees in Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar.
